Colored My Lace Wig

So I really wanted to wear this wet & wavy but I knew the color was TOOO much for work. So I toned it down by applying a medium brown color. It looks okayyy, but it will work until I get my new unit from WhatWig. …….2 morrow I will post pictures if I decide to wear it.

PERFECT APP 2DAY!

Today marks HISTORY for ME! So I think lol……but um I got the PERFECT APP with only blue liner tape! I didn’t place it to low or to far up or down on my forehead and the lace is NOT showing.  Yahhhhh! I’m sorry for the excitement but this is not an everyday thing for me!

Lighter Color?

Ummmmm, I think the lady gave me the wrong color lacefront, lol! This is a color 4/27. I could have SWORN I asked for a color 2…but maybe not. The color looked a lot lighter in the box. Now of course you know that I will never rock this color. I am tooooooo scarrrrruuued, lol. Since its human I may dye it a darker color when I get time. What are your thoughts on this color? Be honest I can take it, lol.

100% Pure Acetone or 90% or Higher White Alcohol 2 Remove Lace Wig Adhesive

Tip 1: Use 100% Pure Acetone (yes, nail polish remover) to loosen your unit and to remove any adhesive, both on your unit and yourself, for fast clean-ups. It’s also great to freshen-up your wig cap.

Tip 2: 90% or higher white alcohol – Helps to separate lace from adhesive if sprayed on top of hairline where lace is attached to the client’s skin. Alcohol can also be used to clean up the hairline after the wig is applied but be careful not to get to close to the lace along the hairline or else the lace will release from the client’s skin and you will have to re-do the entire application. Basically, the lace will not fully re-attach to the skin if it comes in contact with the 90% or higher alcohol.

 

My (Braids4Gro/Tiffany) opinion: Are there any hazards of using acetone on the skin? I will try to research this some more and let you all know.

Another Cheap Wal-Mart Shirt $9.99

I am so loving this shirt too. I think I need to do some more Wal-Mart shopping when I return to the states. LOL. I can’t wait to see how they hold up after a couple of washes. Hopefully they don’t shrink.  Also I am still rocking my lace front from WhatWig.com. None of my hair is out……flawless…at least in my eyes. J

My App with Tape and a $10 Wal-Mart Shirt

This is a picture of my app with blue liner tape today! Man I was sleeping on tape because it is sooooo much easier! The pink shirt is a shirt I picked up from Wal-Mart for $10. I couldn’t resist it. It was pink so I was hooked. Sometimes Wal-Mart have some nice shirts. Let’s hope this one doesn’t shrink on the 1^st wash. J

No more Lace Front Glue...

Yup, I am tired of having to clean it up and I am scared of the long term affect it may have on my skin from me reapplying it everyday. So I have decided to use tape. I started using tape like a week ago while I was home and so far I like it! Today was my 1^st day wearing it in this extremely hot Iraq heat. I was scared of it melting and sliding down but it did not melt nor slide! So I am hooked!

The kind I have been using is: the blue liner lace front double sided support tape. I take about three strips and place them around my forehead half on the wig cap and half on my 4head and it’s a wrap! Oh and it doesn’t have a loud shine. It’s just a lil shine but it’s gone by the time you walk out the door.

This tape actually gives me a neater hold and I don’t have to worry about it drying white at times. It’s a clean app every time and it’s a lot CHEAPER! You should give it a try.
