My Real Hair - 14 Sept 2011 Strand Update

Yup, I got hair underneath these lace wigs. I am so happy that I finally made it all the way over that APL hump. Leaving the micro braids along helped me get past it. The micro braids were not taking out my hair but it was starting to be a BIG hassle for me to take them down...so I settled for lace wigs. I braid my hair in like 5 or 6 small plats....apply my megatek, spray the scurl and seal with coconut oil. Throughout my entire journey those have been the three products that I can always depend on to bring my hair back to health and assist in growth.

Its been a while since I had a relaxer. It's been so long, I can't even remember. My hair is really starting to thicken up again and I am loving it. Relaxers are the devil, lol.....Thanks 4 reading. :)

09 Sept 2011 Quick Strand Update

My hair is finally recovering from that episode of shedding I had. But my back area is still trying to recover. Here is a quick update of my side. It looks as if its reaching the center of my boobies. Sorry for the sag shot, lol. But it’s far from my arm pit. Thank GOD! J

But here is what I have been doing…..

·         Wear lace wig for 1 week

·         Once I take it off, I apply in this order….megatek, scurl and coconut oil. At the end of the week my hair is SOOOO moisturized.

·         That’s all! J

 

On to some other great news, I finally got granted my clearance! I am so happy. God is really good. As my granny would say…. All you gotta do is trust and believe in him…..RIP granny…I love you. J

More Before and After "Thinning" Pictures - Thinning a Full lace Wig

In case you  didn’t read my other post….this is an update…

I decided to pick up my thinning shears and go HAM on this lace wig that I was wearing in Bama  and Thailand. It just had too much bulk to it. It’s amazing how I didn’t realize exactly how much bulk it had to it until I took that picture wearing that pink shirt. I was embarrassed for myself, lol. So I thinned it and tweaked the hairline using tweezers. Its not as hard as I thought. I will be doing this from here on out! I am SO loving this  hair. It reminds me of Jenn’s lace wig from Basketball  Wives but in a different color.

Flawless Lace Wig Application Throwback!

Looking back at some old lace wig pictures, I came across  some lace wigs from this one particular vendor. His hairlines are on POINT, his hair was beautiful, but it didn’t last long. L I think this Iraq heat and water had something to do with it. I am going to order another one from him just to test the hair one more time before I completely give up on him. Just LOOK at how flawless these hairlines are from the applications I did back in May.

THINNING A LACE WIG

Girl, let me tell you….thinning a lace wig makes a WHOLE hella difference and tweaking the hair line is easier than I thought. I got some tweezers and started plucking my part area. Then I got some thinning shears and went HAM on my hair. I have to admit it looks 100 times better. So I am posting this just to tell ya don’t be scared to get in there and tweak ya lace wig….it’s a lot easier than you think. Just make sure you take your time because I would hate for you to mess up your expensive hair. I have a video on the process I will try to post it before this week is over.
