Lets look at the ingredients in it:

Ingredients
Purified Water, Cetearyl Alcohol (Palm Oil*), Amodimethicone, Glycerin (Vegetable Oil*), Behentrimonium Chloride (Rapeseed Oil*), Cetyl Esters (Palm Oil*), Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil (Organic), Proline, Panthenol, Hypnea Musciformis Extract (Red Seaweed*) (Organic), Sargassum Filipendula Extract (Brown Seaweed*) (Organic), PEG-50 Shea Butter (Shea Butter*), Trideceth-12, Cetrimonium Chloride (Palm Oil*), Lactic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance. (* Derived Source)

Now let’s look at the first three ingredients in this product…

We know what purified water is, so let’s move on to the next two. Why only the next two….because they make us most of the product. It’s important to pay attention to your ingredients.

1. Cetearyl Alcohol - Cetyl alcohol is used in many hair care products including conditioners. Cetyl alcohol is an ingredient found in hair care products such as conditioners, dyes and detanglers. An emulsifying wax (prevents separation of certain ingredients like oil and water) made by combining fatty alcohols that occur naturally in vegetable sources, it is not actually an alcohol like rubbing alcohol, which would dry your skin, but a fat typically used as a lubricant. Cetyl alcohol is used in many cosmetics and it can benefit your hair in several ways.

2. Smooths and Softens - Cetyl alcohol works to help repair dryness from heat styling tools. Cetyl alcohol is a water-based lubricant which helps to eliminate the dryness that can occur in hair that has been styled with a lot of chemicals or with heat producing tools like straighteners and hair dryers. Cetyl alcohol aids conditioning products in sealing the hair shaft, which prevents hair from appearing brittle or frizzy and adds shine, making your hair look and feel softer. It also helps with combing hair by smoothing tangles.

3. Moisturizes -Hair products with cetyl alcohol will help prevent dry scalp. Cetyl alcohol will act as a barrier to prevent water from escaping as it is a fat and it does not mix well with water. When cetyl alcohol is used in conditioning products, it helps them prevent water loss in your hair. This prevents drying and damage to the hair shaft. And because conditioners are applied to the scalp, those with cetyl alcohol can help moisturize skin as well. The lotion-like properties of cetyl alcohol act as a lubricant for both your skin and hair without making either of them feel greasy. This keeps your hair and scalp moisturized and prevents dryness and irritation of the skin, which can lead to an itchy scalp or dandruff.

4. Adds Texture - Cetyl alcohol adds a creamy texture that makes conditioner easy to apply. Products used to condition your hair work better when you are able to apply them evenly as they need to cover all of your hair. Cetyl alcohol adds a rich, creamy texture to hair care products, like conditioner, and thickens them, making them easier to apply to any hair type or length. These emulsifying and thickening properties also enable the products to evenly coat each strand of hair to give you the best results.

5. Aids in Manageability - Conditioners using cetyl alcohol help make curly hair more manageable. Some alcohols may cause curly hair to appear dried and frizzy, but because cetyl alcohol helps to moisturize and lubricate your hair, it will make curly hair softer, easier to comb and more manageable. It also acts as a thickener so it can be used in products that add manageability to thinner hair types as well.

Next lets talk about amodimethicone:
Amodimethicone - popular silicones like Amodimethicone and Dimethicone do coat the hair. Here's the catch, there is an "electrostatic attraction" to damaged areas of hair and will coat that area of hair also providing selective conditioning agents to last through a few washes.

Product Description
This unique blend of organic argan oil contains vitamins and minerals that penetrate deeper into the hair and instantly begins to repair dry, damaged areas and mend split ends as the natural micro-barrier protects from styling heat and UV rays. The result is illuminating shine with a silky-soft feel for healthy, beautiful hair. Damaged hair occurs when moisture is lost, causing the cuticle layer to become dry and brittle, allowing cracks and breakage. Argan oil is a natural lubricant and contains vitamins and minerals that penetrate deep into the hair shaft, making it ideal for repairing damaged hair quickly.

How did this product work for my hair?
I love it. I applied it in the shower and it really helped with the detangling process. It also smells REALLY good!
