Hair Elasticity

Have you ever combed your hair and it stretches.........and eventually breaks off after you comb through your hair? When your hair is stretched does it return to it's normal state? If your answer is yes to the first question and no to the second then that simply means your hair has low elasticity.
Hair with low elasticity is highly susceptible to breakage and it will be hard to curl. Yeah so that's probably why your hair will not hold a curl. Nope! The curling iron was hot enough its just you didn't know about elasticity and your hair. But now you do! :)
Now what might be causing this over elastic hair? The first thing that comes to my mind is too much moisture.
