So I decided to take down some of my plaits last night for another strand test. One thing I do not miss about braids is the matting at the base of the braid. For me this happens if I don’t wash my hair often AND if I keep the braids in for too long. A couple of days ago I discovered that if I baggy my hair before detangling it works really good because the moisture that comes from baggying gives me that “slip.” But it was late last night and I had to wake up early for work so I didn’t have time to baggy. So I decided to use my chi silk infusion to detangle. The Chi silk infusion is a thick serum that really gives great slip. It was like once I poured it on the base of my braid the serum worked to help loosen the matted area. So detangling was a lot easier and I lost less hair. It was also easier for the comb to glide through my hair. I also noticed that my hair strands seem a lot stronger using the serum to detangle instead of baggying. So in conclusion and my opinion the Chi gives that “full coverage” slip when detangling.
