My Brazilian Virgin Full Lace Wig

Custom color by vendor...cut and styled by me! I am loving this hair! One difference I noticed between Brazilian and Indian Remy is how light the Brazilian is. It is alot more natural looking. I love it! The hair seems like it will last longer too. I will update in some weeks...

I really saw a difference with my hair when I clarified the other day so I'm going to make sure to keep my scalp clean... You can see in the first picture that the hair can not touch my bra strap but in the second picture its right at my bra strap...so I got some growth!

ACV Rinse!

My hair loves Apple Cider Vinegar! Last night I used Reken to clarify and shampoo my hair. I needed to wash out my 3 day old hair that I was deep conditioning under my lace wig. My hair was hard and tangly after washing the shampoo out. Next I Applied NOW Citrus Moisture conditioner and it soften my hair alot! Then I washed 90 percent of the conditioner out then I applied my travel size jar that contained apple cider! I did a final rinse with it, detangled with my fingers and twisted my hair. Next I used a shirt to dry my hair. My hair felt ssssssooooo good and it was so easy to comb through the new growth. Lastly I applied NTM, wave noueve and sealed with coconut oil and peppermint oil. Back on the road to healthy hair! Here is a picture of all the products I used and how much shed hair I had!

Hair Finity Pills for Hair Growth!

Lets talk about Hair Finity Pills! They arrived in the mail today and I popped one in my mouth! Ur supposed to take x2 daily. I have stopped taking the 10k Biotin for fear of taking too many pills, lol. So I will take these along with my Viviscal! I wanna see results now dammit, lol.

Revisit - How to get a Natural Part on A Full Lace Wig (Sally Hansen Spray)

To me this spray (Sally Hansen spray) works best when you are fake bleaching the knots on black colored hair. I sprayed just a little and here are my results...

Starting to use Viviscal! What is it?

What is Viviscal?
Viviscal is a natural mineral based food supplement that has been designed to promote and stimulate hair growth in men and women suffering from thinning hair. The men’s version is called Viviscal Man.
The product has been endorsed by celebrities, including Finola Hughes famously known for her role in the soap operas General Hospital and All My Children. Finola Hughes has reported success with itsuse in her Viviscal review.

How does Viviscal work?
Viviscal works by reducing the shrinking of hair follicles and inhibits Testosterone from transforming
into DHT (Dihydrotesterone). DHT restricts nutrients reaching hair follicles and hence impedes hair
growth.
Viviscal is effective in four phases over a 6 month period (users typically see results after 3 months):
Phase 1: It nourishes the follicles to slow down and stop the hair loss.
Phase 2: Existing hair is strengthened.
Phase 3: Growth of dormant hair is promoted.
Phase 4: The hair is strengthened and becomes healthier and more vibrant.

Viviscal Ingredients
Viviscal contains 100% natural ingredients. The key ingredient in the formula is the
exclusive AminoMar C active ingredient, which is a rich protein compound of marine extracts. These are blended with organic soluble silica and invigorated with vitamin C.
Viviscal also provides amino acids which are essential for nourishing your hair as they are the basic structural building blocks of proteins and essential in the formation of hair structure.
Viviscal hair vitamins are taken orally twice a day with water after food, once in the morning and
once in the evening, for a minimum of 6 months, or until the desired results have been achieved. From this point onwards you can take one or two tablets per day as required. Viviscal tablets are practically odour free and easy to swallow.

“The key ingredient is the exclusive AminoMar C™ - a rich protein compound of marine extracts blended with organic, soluble silica and fortified with vitamin C. Amino acids are the basic structural building units of proteins and are essential in the formation of the hair structure. Viviscal provides those essential nutrients to nourish your hair naturally from within.
Viviscal Maximum Strength are natural food supplements containing the following active ingredients:

AminoMar C™ Marine Complex- provides the essential proteins needed to nourish thinning hair and promote existing hair growth.
Horsetail Extract - an organic form of silica, increases the strength of the hair and revitalises lifeless hair.

Other ingredients:
AminoMar C™ (Marine Protein Extract), Acerola Cherry Extract (Malphigia Glabra L), Microcrystalline Cellulose (E460), Horsetail Extract (Equisetum Arvense L.), Natural Orange Flavour, Magnesium Stearate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (E464), Glycerol.

1 Month of Hair Growth Progress Pictures! 23 October 2012 - 23 November 2012

Minus that bald area I got the rest of my hair is growing back from that scissor happy stylist cutting my hair. For this month time frame my constant product is "CASTOR OIL. " No matter what I did to my hair I made sure I incorporated castor oil into it. I would either use the JBCO or the drugstore brand.

My Hair Plan & What I Did 2 My Hair 2 Day....

Okay so today like I said I couldn’t sleep and I was thinking about my hair…. I got up washed it with the above shampoo and conditioner then I decided to deep condition for 2 days with the Queen Helen cholesterol that I got from the PX. I remember this chick back in the day name Bronzeg used it for her journey and she swore by it…. I DON’T agree with the ingredients but it’s all I have right now. So I went and washed my hair in two braids instead of four this time. They started slipping loose cause I didn’t secure them and I had conditioner on them…so I was like let me just take the braid out and detangle with my fingers underneath the running water while rinsing out the conditioner. So I carefully did it and it worked REALLY good. I know it’s not proper detangling but it beats running the comb through my ALREADY weak hair to detangle….. So I detangled and re-braided my hair in two braids again….squeezed the excess water out of my hair and applied the Queen Helen….put on my shower cap while I finished showering. Then when I got back to my DARK azz tent because the generator was out…. I took a plastic bag from some clothes I got and put it over my head and secured it with bobby pins. Then put on my black silky durag, then my nude stocking cap and applied my lace wig. It wasn’t that bag. I noticed the lace wig was easier to re-apply because the lace had harden a little from me using 99% alcohol to remove the glue. I applied the glue to my front sections and I KNOW this is bad but I applied a little to the hairs on the side so I didn’t have to glue the lace part down. Why did I do that? Because it’s easier to remove a little glue from the hair than the lace.

So my plan is too alternate deep conditioning and co washing every 2 days… I know that’s a lot BUT I have to go hard or go bald, lol… I figure if I am not going to stern about moisturizing and sealing then I need to keep my hair in a “wet” environment and keep my scalp clean.

Bald Patch :(

As you all know I'm suffering from a scissor happy stylist and I am suffering from a huge bald spot that I believe came from stress and neglect of my hair! :( or maybe the relaxer did it... I have dealing with a great deal of shedding that also lead up to this too...I dunno. But last month I vowed to start back to nourishing my hair and I did good but I slacked.... From 23 Oct to 23 Nov I noticed growth while going heavy on castor oil but my bald spot didnt fill in like I thought it should. I finally took a picture with my Canon instead of the blurry iphone. Its amazing how the quality of a good lenses can make your hair look...my bald spot looked BiGGER! *tear* So I'm not going to post a picture of it until next month when hopefully I see progress... But until then here is my starting pic from 23 Oct.. see u can never tell I have a bald patch BUT you can see my hair is obviously thinner... SMH... Damn it happens to the best of us...I'm determined to fight it though... Have any of you went through this?

Ms. Lola Adhesive for Lace Wigs

Back in March 2011 I did a post on Ms. Lola's glue for lace wigs and I loved it! So I decided to order some more. I want to alternate with my mastix P  and I wanted a product that has a easy clean up. I remember LoveKisses from YouTube did a video on her removing Ms. Lola's glue and she explained how you can use alcohol to remove the glue. So I went to Ms. Lola's site and she offers a clear and a white glue. Both of them dry clear. As you can see from the pictures I took below, the clear glue is stringy. That is a BIG no go for me, so I will stick with the white paste sorta looking glue. Tomorrow I plan to apply the glue and see what it do :) I will be back with pictures of my application using Ms. Lola's adhesive. Here is a link to my original posting: Ms Lola Lace Wig Glue Review,

Review: My Hair Growth from Using Rexall Castor Oil

Let me tell you... I dont know WHAT the hell is the difference b/w JBCO and this stuff but I think this stuff deserves some attention! Since I started using this stuff I have noticed a small spurt in new growth. And my texture...it really defines my texture and loosens the new growth. Before I started using this I didnt see ANY new growth because I have relaxed on using megatek.... but I hate to say it because it sounds so un true but almost 2 weeks later I noticed new growth after using this!

I purchased this bottle at Walmart in August. At first I was using this mixed with the JBCO (Jamaican Black Castor Oil) and then I stopped because I wanted to separate the two to see who was responsible for the growth spurt. Well I have not started using the JBCO by itself yet because I cant believe the results with this stuff! Have you tried it? If so let me know how it works for you. Oh and just to add this stuff is really thick so you might wanna break out the heavy duty paper towels when applying this stuff.

How to Use Mascara to Make a Lace Wig Look Natural!

In August I attempted to bleach the knots on this lace wig and winded up keeping the bleach on it for too long and the lace and roots turned this NASTY color (sorry no pictures)....so I left it alone UNTIL.... I needed to change lace wigs with a color I liked. So I found some brown Rich Auburn Dark & Lovely dye and attempted to color the lace and the roots only. Well it worked a little but it just didnt look right. So I remember a tip my fiance's mother taught me about covering her gray hair at the roots. She pulled out some black mascara and proceeded to color her roots. So that's exactly what I did with this lace wig. I colored the roots and I LOVE it. It makes the unit look so natural. The thing I like about it is that once the mascara dries it not going anywhere. I wonder if I wash it would it fade? Guess I will see.

If you are into purchasing lace wigs like me you know that CV's charge extra for 2 colors. So I believe I will start doing this from now on. I will order units and color them with mascara, lol.  Here are some pictures. I also created a video of me doing this and I plan on posting it to YouTube but I don't want to make any promises :) So here are the pictures for now. What do you think?

Jamaican Black Castor Oil (JBCO) Review and Growth Results! Small HairUpdate Sept 2012

You all know my hair started shedding something TERRIBLE a while back! Several times I thought I had it under control, but it was a fail. I believe it was due to the stress of my grandmother passing away L. I can say I finally got a grip on it now. I really stopped caring for my hair. Lost motivation… ESPECIALLY after the Dominican cut my progress. On Sept 8, I decided to take action to restore my hair. So I pulled out a newly purchased bottle of JBCO with coconut oil and a Wal-Mart brand of castor oil. First I applied Scurl to my new growth and ends and then I applied the JBCO and regular castor oil to my scalp and ends, put on a silk stocking cap on my hair, put a coffee stocking cap over it and applied my lace wig and left it at that until 23 Sept.

Today 23 Sept, I washed my hair using the products pictured and checked on my hair. I also flat ironed it before washing to see the length. My new growth is looking so pretty! It looks as if its taking on a new texture. The middle part down the center of my head has filled in and is not as wide. No lie it looks like I got ½ inch of growth already!! My areas that were almost balding have started filling back in and my air felt very moisturized! YES! So I am going to continue to use the mixture and leave megatek alone for a while. Back in the day the JBCO didn’t give me these good results or I never paid it any attention because I was using so much other stuff. I am glad I tried it again.

Anyway…here are some pictures of the products I used on my hair right after washing, my comparison picture from when I last got my hair relaxed on 30 July and the amount of shedding I had after detangling my hair. O I forgot to mention instead of drying my hair with a towel I used a big heavy duty paper towel!

New Yaki Full Lace Wig with a Natural Hairline!

Mad cause I ordered a yaki in my favorite color instead of silky and the hair color is all the way off? I guess texture makes a difference in hair color?
Anyway 2 make the hairline look like this I cut the lace at an angle. More pictures later!
I'm up late trying to find a style. I think I may have jacked up my bangs :(

How to Not Wear Lace Wigs

Man lace wigs get soooo much of bad reputation. But I can understand why. Just go on instagram or twitter and type in lace wigs! No... Seriously do it. What did u see? Yup I know you saw that chick from the beauty salon with 24 inches of silky blond hair pulled str8 back in a slick back ponytail!! There are certain things you just shouldn't DO when wearing lace wigs! Damn it! Stop it!

Back in the day I know I am guilty for some of this mess but I learned and you bet it didnt take me a year to learn. Some of them women on blackhairmedia will lay it out for you.

Anyway I'm getting off topic. Here are some things NOT to do with your lace wig:

1. If you are going to pull your lace wig back in a pony tail... DON'T SLICK it back!!

2. If you are going to comb your lace wig hair to the back please put a part SOMEWHERE in it. When you wear your hair str8 back with no part it SCREAMS: "Hey Look at My Lace Wig!

3. Do not glue it on your forehead... You know NEAR your eyebrows! I am guilty of this in the past.

4. Stop cutting the lace str8 across! Who the hell u know has a 150 density hairline that is in a str8 line?? Hairlune Looking like this --> ________ lol.

Just stop it! Damn it! You making it hard for us lace wig lovers!

How to Wear A Lace Wig and Look Natural

To wear a lace wig properly there are three "Must Do" things! They are:

1. Bleach your knots. This makes its tricky to the eye as to if the hair is growing out of your scalp

2. Pick a stocking cap that that matches your scalp color. I'm guilty of having a extra bright stocking cap but we live and learn, lol. My favorite and best stocking cap color to wear under my lace wigs is: coffee

3. Density. This is what really makes or breaks a lace wig. Who has 150% density at their hairline?

You would be amazed at how these little tweaks on your lace wig can make SUCH a difference!

Winter Styles for Lace Wigs!

With cold weather approaching comes rain and strong winds. The last thing you would want to happen is you be walking down the street and a strong wind come and expose your wefts on a lace "front" wig or expose your bobby pins on a "full" lace wig only because you didnt use adhesive, lol! Girllll you better act right and buy you some cute little hats! 😁Here's how I plan on protecting my lace wigs for the upcoming cold weather. I purchased the hat below or above on eBay for like $8. These pictures are of me getting ready for work and at work. Yup I'm on night shift now at this new site...Enjoy

How 2 Spice up a Lace Wig: Leopard Scarf and Bangs!

Its so windy out here in Shindand. The wind is blowing my poor lace wig to death! The sand just makes it worst. So this is how I have been wearing my lace wig for the last couple of days!

How to Tame Baby Hairs on a Lace Wig

I know I have been slipping on the blog but I am very busy with work  Any who….this post will be about how to tame those crazy baby hairs that come on some CV units. Sroll down to look at the b4 and after pictures and read the intsructions.

One of my good friends today asked how do you maintain baby hairs on lace wigs? I take a rat tail comb and take the skinny end of it and hold the baby hairs up (going towards ya hair) and spray a little spritz (Tresemme extra hold hair spray) and then style the hair in a twist before it becomes firm. Or If I am styling it without the twist I just take the rat tail come and hold the baby hairs in the direction I am styling the hair and spritz them...I hope that makes sense. It works well for me. Some are skeptical about using spritz but it works well for me. The Tresemme extra hold hair spritz does not flake and does not give you a hard hold. The hold is just firm enough to keep the wind from messing up your hair. But here are some pictures of before and after. You can see the baby hairs on this lace wig are HORRIBLE, lol.
